- About Chengdu-

Chengdu, a city of profound culture and vibrant energy, is the cradle of ancient Shu civilization. For over 2,300 years since its Qin Dynasty founding, it has kept its original location and name—a rare continuity in Chinese urban history. Celebrated by poets like Li Bai and Du Fu for its beauty, it now captivates global visitors with unique charm.

In Chengdu, Jiuyanqiao Bridge is a must-see. First built in 1593 (Ming Dynasty) as Hongji/Zhenjiang Bridge, its name comes from nine arches. The reconstructed bridge retains Ming-style elegance: by day, it spans Jinjiang with carved railings; by night, it becomes a nightlife hub—Anshun Covered Bridge glows, and bar streets buzz, offering a taste of Chengdu’s romance.
For cultural lovers, Du Fu Thatched Cottage is a spiritual spot. In 759 AD, poet Du Fu built a cottage here to escape war, creating 240+ poems. Surrounded by bamboos and streams, its halls and thatched area recreate his former home. The "red walls with bamboo shadows" is a poetic photo spot.
Chengdu Giant Panda Base is unmissable. A world-famous panda conservation site with green mountains and clear waters, it lets you watch pandas eat, roll, or play. Lucky visitors may spot cute newborn cubs, melting all worries.
Finally, Dujiangyan Irrigation System shows ancient wisdom. Built by Li Bing and his son 2,000+ years ago, it still irrigates the Plain, making it "the Land of Abundance." Stand at Fish Mouth Dike to see Minjiang split, or walk Anlan Bridge to feel harmony between humans and nature.
Chengdu mixes history and modernity. These four spots are just the start—more wonders await your exploration.
